Decorate your house for Halloween

Surely it is the opposite of what we are looking for the rest of the year, but for the Halloween party, we want to make our house the most terrifying in the entire neighborhood. We must be prepared to receive all kinds of monsters that will ask us the most repeated question of the whole night: “trick or treat?”. First of all, we will start by knowing how to carve the famous pumpkins, which will undoubtedly give us the most authentic touch to this. Here we explain how to do it.

Pumpkins will be the stars tonight

  • We will only need a large spoon, a sharp knife and a small candle. We will take the pumpkin and with the knife we will make a cut in the upper part, emulating a lid. Through the hole we just made, we will empty the pumpkin filling with the spoon, basically pulp and seeds.
  • Next, we will imagine what face we want to put on our pumpkin and with a pencil we will draw the eyes, the nose and the mouth to later cut them with a knife. Finally, we will place the of the pumpkin and we will glue the candle with wax so that it is well attached. With the lit candle we will realize the magical object that we have just created. Another option is to remove the candle and fill the content with candies and sweets, so the little ones in the house will enjoy our creation.
  • In houses with gardens we will find the best option to deploy all our decorative imagination. A good idea would be to cut out cardboard boxes in the shape of tombstones, spray-paint them an ash color and cover them with cobwebs. Of course we can fill the garden with pumpkins, and as final get a smoke machine to recreate the fog, which would end up turning our garden into a completely terrifying place.

In the houses with gardens we will find a wide setting to recreate Halloween night

  • However, for interior spaces there are also thousands of options, so those who do not have a garden need not be alarmed. The walls covered in black, candle-based lighting, cobweb sprays, and plastic bugs hanging from the ceiling and walls are usually the most recurring decorative objects on Halloween.
  • Now, there is another option that is similarly quite gloomy: we can turn our house into an old abandoned mansion, emulating the setting of horror. To do this, we will cover the furniture with old white sheets, we will use dim lighting and we will put gloomy music in the background. Surely our guests will get a good scare when they enter.
